The restoration group is planning a working bee to start our maintenance of the riverside restoration sites. A number of weeds have already sprung up in the 2nd site (planted in September) and some of the plants are struggling, so we need to give them a bit of TLC. We will also replant in a few spots where plants have died.
Time: 8.30-10 am
Date: Thursday 10th December
Meeting point: Riverbank opp. Thynne Road.
We are hoping a bunch of people will be able to come along to make the job fast and fun. You are welcome to come for part of the time if you can’t make the whole event. Please can you email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you can come along so we have an idea of numbers.
In the event that it is hot and sunny (quite likely), please make sure you bring lots of water to drink, a hat, sunscreen and protective clothing. We will provide backup sunscreen, gloves, gardening implements (although you can bring your own), and watering cans. I will email around with a reminder next week, and an update on the weather.
