MICHA JACKSON - PRESIDENT
Micha has a lifelong interest in and passion for conserving wildlife and natural places. She's a keen birdwatcher in her spare time. She recently joined the Fuller Lab at UQ to pursue a PhD aimed at habitat preservation for migratory shorebirds in the East Asian-Australasian Flyway. Prior to arriving at UQ she spent 7 years based in Darwin working in the Indigenous land and sea management sector in communities across northern Australia.

NARELLE HILL - VICE PRESIDENT
Narelle will be undertaking her Honours this year after graduated from UQ with a dual major in Science/Arts (Ancient History, English, and Zoology) in 2017. She is passionate about generating public interest in conservation issues and protecting biodiversity; this year she will be studying the effectiveness of protected areas in conserving key
tidal flat habitat for migratory shorebirds across the East Asian-Australasian Flyway. Prior to Honours, Narelle has
been involved in a wide variety of research projects at UQ and the University of Lausanne, and also volunteers with
the Australian Marine Conservation Society with a focus on the Great Barrier Reef and how it is being affected by climate change.

ETHAN WIGNELL - SECRETARY
Ethan is a Master of Environmental Management student. Having completed his Undergraduate degree in Ecology at UQ he returned to broaden his knowledge and hope to apply this knowledge in a career in conservation. Ethan is interested in largescale drivers of habitat loss and the use of multidisciplinary approaches to overcome them.

LACHLAN FRANCIS - TREASURER
Lachlan is an environmental science honours student. Being part of the successful Macquarie Island Pest Eradication Project and seeing first-hand the benefits of the ambitious project has inspired Lachlan to return to study. Upon graduation, Lachlan hopes to expand on his experience in applied island conservation.

WENJU LU - GOVERNANCE OFFICER
Wenjun is a Master student in the program "Conservation Biology", she is interested in how social factors influence conservation attitude and behaviour and would like to study how to apply social psychology to understand
and mitigate current conservation issues. Wenjun has previously volunteered with Conservation Australia with a focus on restoration and The Wilderness Society, with a focus on outreaching.

OFALIA HO - CONSERVATION OFFICER
Ofalia graduated with a Bachelor of Environmental Science (Honours) in 2017 from The University of Queensland, and previously held the position of Secretary for SCB UQ. Her professional and research interests lie in the interface of ecology, remote sensing and spatial analysis, for ecosystem monitoring and conservation under environmental change.
